Sculture opacity setting
The title says it all! Exactly like strokes, text, number displayers have this setting so should sculptures! It would open a huge amount of freedom on creations.Something so small could be enormous as a setting! Please consider it!
Personally would love to see this but as TAPgiles said it is very hard to do & especially on a console.
Coming from PC programs like SketchUp & Lumion that do this very well it is very frustrating that just to do a window we have to paint it or add a text box.
maybe it should be implemented as a separate class of object,
so, paint, sculpt, transparent sculpt.
perhaps the 'transculpt' object would have basic properties like a text displayer but also with tint and shininess. Would be super useful to be able to make curved glass.
You are 100% correct but that doesn't mean it shouldn't be implemented in a limited capacity. Would be very useful.
There should be something in that regard though...Its frustrating to want to disappear something slowly and having to do all these weird workarounds...
Opacity is very hard for computers to do, is the short answer. Like, REAL hard.
The fact that sculpts are not transparent ever means the engine can ignore drawing anything that's behind a sculpt, giving huge efficiency wins vs not having that.
Agreed. I am curious as to why this hasn't been implemented.
