New mode for viewing other peoples creations in edit mode that aren’t remixable
I don’t put my full games up as remixable anymore, as someone can just republish the whole thing with a button. I’ve mentioned before. But I’d like to have another mode for things that you are ok for people to look at and learn how you did things. But not have it as remixable.
I have no problem with people looking about my level if it helps them. I’d love to have a snoop about other levels and learn techniques from them. Have it all be interactive and view it in edit mode and play around with the logic. But nothing can be saved out from it.
I’m sure loads of the community would be ok with putting it up in this mode for people to view how it was done. But don’t want people just taking it for their own 👍
Just want people to feel comfortable sharing without the fear (that we shouldn’t have😉) of people stealing hard work
Would just be a learning tool. The more people can learn from others, the better dreams we get👍
Another good thing that could come of this feature would be that friendly knowledgeable people from the community would maybe look at the level and send you a comment like, see where you did “this” here, did you know you can do “this” technique and might help improve the creation.
Completely unacceptable that this hasn't been the case #FreeTheDreams
@YWWebb 'Inspectable' sounds great! That would be the perfect name for the feature. :)
hey i've played your game before. Your logo was made out of stones. I completely agree with you DORIEN.
like a tool that records what you did and plays it back for someone who is curious.
I have an better idea a bunch of modes for learning how to make each part of something you made.
like the game would ask: "Would you like to learn; 1. modeling 2. music you know stuff like that.
that might take a while to implement, lets see if MM sees your idea.
I love this idea! Maybe a little check box called "inspect-able" similar to listed/unlisted
This mode is what I need.
I definitely think the biggest flaw in Dreams is the fact that 90% of levels end up being non-remixable, meaning you can't learn anything about how they were constructed!
