VR Snap Turning
The game's current VR comfort option ties third person walking and snap turning together, such that when comfort mode is turned off, we can have smooth walking but we lose the snap turning. I think we should be able to have smooth walking but optionally keep the snap turning on. This is better for motion sickness, since lateral movement is a different sensation from spinning. But it can also be better for some people like myself who would rather just quickly reorient their forward direction and otherwise rely on their head for turning, rather than having two different inputs for looking around.
I actually posted a feedback to revamp how control works in Dreams, especially for VR. Might want to check that out. It could be the solution for any control schemes we want.
IMO Mm should remove all hardcoded remapping or controls from the game and let US chose how we want to set our controls. Especially with VR, it makes the current system outdated and unsuited for VR creations. They let us have 2 hands, but left hand cannot do anything useful apart from following the left imp in play mode. Most options in the hand tracker gadget are greyed out if you set it to be anything than primary controller.
Agreed, snap turning should be a separate setting. The movement and turning in Dreams works much differently than most VR titles.
Providing snap turning using front facing buttons on motion controllers is a great option for those used to PSVR titles and those that may suffer motion sickness.
