Dreams VR Collabed projects issue
So one thing that ive encountered that I find beyond annoying, is the way the VR compatible mechanic is introduced in Dreams. Even when there are 6-7 people working together for a game, where 80% of them has VR, but the "original creator" does not, it completely prevents us to be able to introduce a VR mode to the game. There has to be a better way for this.
Is it not possible to create a system that checks for the people involved wether it has been play-tested in VR, to still allow us to add that feature? And not completely preventing us, having to do all the extra work to "swap creator" for it? It's such a headache that I dont think should be there in the first place, and I truely hope this gets an update ASAP
TAP, in order to release a dream as VR compatible, the scenes also have to be listed as such.
This is a tricky one. I do think there needs to be a way for collaborators to work around this. On the other hand, I'd hate to see the "VR only" dream surfing filter become meaningless because everyone is getting their friends to mark stuff as VR just for increased exposure. It would happen as sure as folks abusing the tag system with 10+ unrelated tags.
That said, I'm for the idea, but I think there should somehow be a checklist of things that must be in the scenes for it to work. Some way of requiring a minimum effort in making it actually VR compatible.
I don't think Mm have stated that it's impossible.
This would be a useful feature. Mainly for the past 6 months to a year they've been making the actual VR mode! XD Things will improve thanks to feedback like this.
For now... only the dream creation itself actually matters, right? So you could have a VR person make the dream instead.
