Dreams Bugs šŸœ

With such a huge suite of creative tools, you may encounter occasional bugs in Dreams. Itā€™s really helpful for us to hear about them! If you discover an issue in Dreams, please check to see if anyone else has reported the issue before and if someone has, comment on it with your experiences. If not, post a new bug report here!

Hereā€™s some top tips to help us track down your bug as quickly as possible:

ā€¢ Give us a brief, clear summary of the bug. If necessary let us know what you think should be happening that isnā€™t.
ā€¢ Let us know the exact steps we need to follow to recreate your bug. For example -
ā€œLoad game > go to create mode > search for banana > stamp ā€œsuper cool bananaā€ > the banana didnā€™t load!"
ā€¢ If possible it really helps if you can include a screenshot or video of the problem.
ā€¢ Let us know the release version of the game ā€“ you can find this by having the Dreams icon highlighted on the Playstation homescreen, pressing ā€œoptionsā€ and then ā€œinformationā€. The bit we want is the Version number!

  1. Can't delete element unless I delete the scene it came from?

    First, absolutely love this game. Got it a few weeks back. I've been making everything myself. So, I don't think my issue has something to do with private assets. Also, haven't used the prizes or anything else.

    I created a scene. So far only local saves, no online or release. I grouped certain assets from the scene and saved them separately as elements, so I can use them for a level later. Since then, I've revisited my elements, made changes, and now I think the scene is ready. One of my elements I decided to scrap. So I went toā€¦

  2. Used Play Later button on indreams.me, but level never appeared in play queue

    Used Play Later button on indreams.me. Hours later, the level(Moutain Walk by Martinitydk) was still not present in my queue in Dreams.
    I checked indreams.me again, and was shown the "Remove" button, suggesting that it was still in my queue.

  3. Microchip contains "Tall Cyllinder" which is Private and from MmOfficial

    After selecting 1 single microchip, saving it as a new creation. I wanted to release it. But it says it contains PRIVATE creations.

  5. can't delete a creation!

    I can't delete a creation.


    1. I tweaked a truck model that was my own creation within a race track I made.

    2. I saved the truck outside the track and called it super dirt truck model.

    3. I used super dirt truck model in 2 creations: Track 1 and Track 1B.

    4. I tweaked the truck again and saved it as another creation called super dirt truck model 2.

    5. I replaced the old model in Track 1 with model 2 and saved it.

    6. I replaced the old model in Track 1B with model 2 and saved it.

    7. I tried deleting the old model,ā€¦

  6. Motion controls not working + no way to switch back

    Was letting my friend mess around in share play, he uses motion controls and I don't, so he switched the option in settings. After I got the controller back in share play, motion controls were working properly.

    When I started the app later, however, I couldn't move my imp at all with motion controls (this had happened before and idk why) and I can't access the menu to turn it off. Motion works fine for others games too.

  7. Comments problem after the 2.07 update

    It only got worse now after the 2.07 update!

    As a temporary solution to the famous reply problems,before, I(and many others) wrote the name of the user with @ for him to be notified to be mentioned on a comment ect...Now(2.07) that some restrictions have been applied to the comments,and for example some user names have repeated characters ect...You cant even do the ultra legit @ trick to the replies that Mm itshelf has implemented to the game!

    Thank you for getting in touch. I was wondering if you could possibly provide us with some additional information about your issue; the message you tried to post, did it only include that @’d user or was is the text included in your second image?

    As correctly mentioned by other users below, 3 or more repeated characters, or words/phrases that contain profanities will issue you this warning message.

  8. 2.07 comment timeout

    Currently there is no indication you cannot yet post a comment until you've finished writing it. This means you could spend a while wording the comment well, things like that, only to find you have wait 2 more minutes before actually posting it. Which means you have to cancel out and lose the comment you'd carefully prepared, or sit there for 2 minutes trying to post it now and then hoping you'll be able to move on with your life.

    Really not a friendly way to implement this for legitimate users. Presumably just an oversight, but one that's salt toā€¦

  9. Edit source object bug?

    When I tried to edit a source object from a scene it was in, the game asked to save changes, but then didnā€™t take me out of the scene to edit the object. The screen went blurry but I could still move around and edit the scene. It wouldnā€™t let me pause and exit so I had to close the game completely.

  10. Issue loading certain dreams, ps4 latest update

    hi, some items in dreams that I have created and saved previously, wonā€™t now load, so I canā€™t edit, delete or remix them. It says ā€˜failed to downloadā€™, can this be fixed? Thanks

  11. Plugging numbers into the zone size input of a trigger zone doesn't properly scale it

    When i put the number 14.5 into a cylindrical trigger zone, i expect it to have a diameter of 14.5m, but it instead gives off a diameter of 1.5m, and then it outputs 25.1. I don't know if this is intentional or not, but it's very strange and inconvenient

  12. ā€œSave as a new creationā€ can't Trigger text input in PS4 Remote Play and Second screen

    While using PS4 remote play or second screen, when I choose an element to ā€œSave as a new creationā€, the title only can be changed by controller with PS4 system keyboard. Remote play and second screen have No response to the Textbox, just like I'm not Inputting text.

  13. Dream not showing up despite multiple saves

    Iā€™ve been working on an element for a dream for probably over 10 hours. Iā€™ve already saved multiple times and it has automatically backed up multiple times.

    My power went out while I was in the element modifying it. When I restarted my PS4 the element wasnā€™t showing up. I understand if the most recent save is corrupted or something, but certainly there must be a previous save available from any of the multiple saves Iā€™ve made.

    The element thatā€™s missing is called ā€œDog puppetā€

  14. AND Gate

    As I was creating a groundpound for a 2D movement character and used an AND gate to check for the "Down" input filtered by a signal manipulator, and an inversed (via signal manipulator) "grounded" signal from the puppet interface to check if the character is airborne. The AND gate is outputting the signal without checking for the down input, only the airborne input.
    Attachments:
    232745 shows the bug happening.
    232752 shows the down input doesn't cause the same issue
    232739 shows both inputs turned off
    232809 shows that the signal manipulator isn't outputting a low value for the down input.

  15. Text Displayer gadget sometimes displays sequences of numbers as '*******'.

    I entered (well, copied and pasted) a large body of text I had pre-written in notepad via the tool on indreams.me and every-time I tried to enter it Dreams would always convert the number sequence to stars '*****'.

    It's also quite laggy even with a sub 100 ping time on the ping test, with the cursor on the PS4 moving around inside the text entry box in a seemingly random, haphazard way.

    Steps to attempt to repro:


    1. Place a TD gadget onto a Microchip.

    2. Open TD Gadget.

    3. Copy and paste a large body of text from notepad into indreams.me usingā€¦

  16. Wireless receiver powered by default (Fresh from toolbar and undesignated)

    An example of a wireless receiver acting out on me. When I put it on the microchip from the toolbar it was activated by default without input. Pulling it of the chip and on again solved that issue but when I checked the zone properties of the receiver I found it completly acting weird. The microchip in question was part of another mircochip on an asset that was cloned beforehand. Also due to my process of coding I have a high amount of wireless transmitters and receivers both on the chip and the scene in general. Upon further kinvestigation thisā€¦

  17. IMP quest scene is non remixable

    I made a game called IMPlode out of a dreamiverse dash IMPquest. It started getting lots of love, so I thought Iā€™d add more scenes, but canā€™t remix my original scene.
    Is that meant to be like that for IMP quests?

  18. Can't Connect Music Timelines

    I have an intro musical timeline that is set to "on end trigger" to give power to another musical timeline for THAT timeline to loop. But when the first timeline ends, it gives no power to the other timeline at all. Is there something I need to do to give the second timeline power? Or is this a glitch that doesn't allow music to interconnect?

  19. Archiving a scene and deleting local scene reverts updated back to the 1st version

    Thereā€™s a bug that when you archive a scene And delete the local save it deletes the whole thing and reverts back to the very 1st version. Iā€™ve already had this happen to me twice and others have had it happen as well from my understanding. We were told Mm would look into into if but hereā€™s the Twitter feed I posted a while back and Iā€™m not sure if I posted it here or not.

  20. Teleporter cannot be activated from a timeline

    Now this may be by design, but if you put a teleporter in a timeline, or have a keyframe activate a teleporter from a timeline the timeline stops. So this is either a bug, or its just something that we cant do.

    If it is the latter, how do you teleport stuff during a cut scene for example?

    Hello LadyLexUK,

    Thanks for the post, you should be able to activate teleport logic from timelines.

    In the case where you have a teleporter on the timeline, you will need to surface snap the timeline to the object its teleporting, or have wired from the teleporters “affect objects” output to the object you want to be teleported.

    In the case of using a key-frame on a timeline, again the teleporter gadget needs to be surfaced snapped to the object or wired to via the affect object output in order to teleport the object to the position you want.
