Teleporter gizmo reset bug from early access still present
- place a sculpt
- surface snap a microchip on it and open it
- place a teleporter into the microchip
- tweak the teleporter and move its gizmo away from the center of the sculpt
- Now move the teleporter gadget inside the microchip a little
- the teleporter gizmo will snap back to the center position of the sculpt
Any update on when is it going to get fixed? I've been dealing with this pesky bug for months now as well.
I created a quick video that also shows the teleporter's gizmo position being reset when the chip containing the teleporter is moved inside another chip.
I've found this as well now. So at least you already know. Cheers
Came here to say I've been experiencing this issue as well, with great frustration.
Thank you for the report Interpidis
This is an editor bug which I will log now and we will look to fix in the future.
Its not strictly a backwards comparability issue as it relates to edit flow so I will move it to bugs
Slap a microchip on a sculpt. Put a teleporter in it. Select the teleporter and then move its origin handle to somewhere different.
Now if you move the teleporter icon a little bit, but keep it in the microchip, then the teleporter's origin will reset to the center of the sculpt.
It didn't used to do this.

Thanks for getting in touch with us.
I have tested your issue as you described and was able to reproduce it. This issue seems to happen when surface snapping to sculpts as well as microchips so I have noted that down as well. I have logged all of this on our bug database for you!
