Sound Recorder seemingly disabled in Remote Play?
In the Early Access builds of the game, you could use Remote Play to record audio through a different system's microphone, be it your smartphone or your PC (the latter being handy if your specific microphone isn't natively compatible with the PS4 system).
This does not seem to be the case in the full game; if you try to use the Sound Recorder in Remote Play (it doesn't matter what device you're connecting from), the hula-scope that normally surrounds your Imp when recording audio does not show up, and nothing gets saved when you stop recording. Despite this, the Controller Sensor still picks up microphone input while in Remote Play; not sure what's going on there though.
I don't know if this is a bug or an intentional restriction to combat copyrighted music, but it's strange to see this limitation imposed now, given how long we've gone with it working just fine. If it is just a bug that slipped past the QA team, I hope it gets resolved soon.
Can you please tell me the cable method? I didn't know that one.
@TAPgiles The cable method still works, but it's not as high quality as Remote Play in my experience.
Huh. Does the cable method still work?

Thanks for reporting your issue to us, i can confirm that the sound recorder in remote play has been intentionally removed from the title.
The controller Sensor input should still work fine through remote play as no audio is actually being recorded.
