Default puppet rig aligned incorrectly
I was using the puppet model well going through one of the tutorials, the one with the fashion show. I got carried away and made a bagel person, but when I was making the arms, they would never line up. like, I had one arm perfect but the other would be slightly.. off? But I was like whatever I'll live with it and save it and keep it like that. I found out I couldn't because I was in the tutorial, which is also something that should change like I wanna be able to keep my tutorial designs ); anyway, I went to make my bagel design and I had the same exact problem! I thought I just messed up with resizing or something, but I found the problem. the default rig for the puppet is not aligned correctly, so by default if you try to move with the mirror it will be off
Hi there immaspoon
Thank you for alerting us to this issue.
We’ve entered it into the bug database and will have the team look into it.
I came to post this too. A lot of joints in the puppets are crooked and off center. Namely the right shoulder is way off, both "collar bone" and hip joints aren't lined up, and the center line of joints isn't dead center. There are also orientation inconsistencies if you test them all with use limits turned on.
I'm not sure if it's supposed to be that way to compensate for a physics bias or just to loosen up the animation, but it makes for some unanticipated issues and is very difficult to straighten out without completely destroying the puppet's limb behavior and symmetry.
Oh, do you mean the right upper arm's blue gizmo isn't the same as the left arm's? Took me a long while to figure out what I was meant to be looking at XD
