On some Dualshock controllers, holding the R2 button doesn't function correctly. Seems like the button has trouble reaching the 100% pressed threshold. Is this a known issue and the reason that the toggle button option was introduced in the preferences? Is this the only workaround currently? It's stopped one of my creations from functioning correctly for some users and they may just assume that my logic doesn't work.

There might be an issue with hardware if your controller isn't reaching 100%. Test this by going into the Control Sensor and looking at the output of the R2 or L2 trigger amount.
However I can confirm I found an issue somewhat relatet.
Thank you for the issue report Lara L
Yeah, interesting... So if you just display the current value it's sending out and try it with the controller with the problem, does it never get to 1 even when you pull it all the way?
Thanks TAPgiles. 100% seemed to be the default when I assigned the shoulder button. In this instance you hold R2 to pull back a bow and arrow and release to fire, so it made sense to have the button depressed fully. I didn't spot the issue until my brother tried to play the game and couldn't fire properly. I then replicated it at home, but eventually figured out it was likely to be down to variation in controller thresholds when another dualshock worked just fine. Expect I wont be the last person to experience this, so flagging just in case it stumps other people or becomes a wider issue.
Interesting... I've not had that issue. They added that feature for people who can't hold a trigger for long.
I'd recommend not triggering stuff on 100% anyway, because it feels a lot better to only have to pull it a certain amount instead of the whole way every time, you know?
I'm guessing it's just a hardware issue though. Unlikely to be Dreams.
