Unable to release music track as it says it's private
I've made a level in dreams and I clicked on the music track I made for the level to save it as a separate asset, but I'm unable to publish it as it says it's private, both the level and the dream it's in are published online but if I update the level it says I have to change the options for that music which I am unable to do as there is no option to change it it's greyed out and clicking on it does nothing. the music plays fine in the level I'm just unable to publish it separate.
Btw, it's also doing it with a puppet/character I saved within the same level as a separate asset, this character was made by MM it's one of the prizes, when I update the level it says I have to change the options for this too but again they're greyed out.
yeah the prizes are private which can cause massive release complications (even after being removed from the scene)
I explain the situation in this post here: https://feedback.indreams.me/forums/917431-dreams-bugs/suggestions/39857323-private-creations-causing-release-complications-ex
If you export something as a new creation, it's a remix of that version of the original creation, so includes its genealogy.
That's fine but I created a small piece of music to go with my level from scratch and I cannot release it, due to it getting associated with other assets. How does a bridge as an example get attached to a piece of music? they are 2 different things I didn't stick the music to anything and you cant put a "bridge" on a timeline. I made the music getting inspiration from my level then saved it out for later use.
Btw thnx for your reply
Edit: I'm not really that bothered because the music isn't that great anyway, but if I'd spent a long time making something in my level and wanted to use it later it would get attached to other things in the level, this doesn't seem right to me and I would be a little miffed off if I couldn't release it because of these other assets auto linking themselves just because they're in the same level.
I guess the only option is not to use prizes in your levels, but then what was the point in MM giving us them?
Prizes are basically private elements someone else owns, that you're allowed to use because you collected the bubble. You can publish scenes as playable if they contain private elements, so that's the only way of doing it right now.
I think this is by design.
This is the level with the problem https://indreams.me/scene/dodsmkfVHNf
Btw I've just checked the music track and it appears it's many MM assets which it says needs to be released as they appear private before I can release the music publicly.
Here is a short YouTube of it https://youtu.be/jzgVs8RInJI
Edit: I've just noticed that my level/scene I linked is also only released as Playable, I am unable to release it as public for the same items being private that are in the YouTube video.
I hope this is enough info for you to fix this problem, it appears your assets are private for some strange reason.
