Surface snap ignores preview during frame-by-frame animation
During frame-by-frame animation in paint mode, previews appear showing the previous and/or next frame. This is extremely useful, but if surface snap is used the paint sticks to the preview and so floats above the sculpt!
I just wanted to check in and see if you are still encountering the issue you raised in the post?

This sounds like it could be a bug. I don't see how that would be useful so I doubt it is intentional.
Maybe try and report it in the bugs section rather then the feedback section. Is more likely to get noticed by the devs there.
