One of my creations causes Dreams to crash
Since launch of VR one of my painting assets crashes Dreams. This did not happen before the latest update, as you can tell from the 43 thumbs up it has. It crashes Dreams when you click on it in a feed or a collection before the profile page loads. This is upsetting as it is not something I can recreate.
Just so you do not think there is something in the creation that may cause it. It is a spraypainted flat rectangle. No audio, No logic, No gadgets. My suspicion is that somehow the profile page has become corrupted on your servers, or the addition of the Non-VR label has somehow broken it.
Thanks for this post.
I am glad that the level is no longer crashing. This was one of the main fixes we wanted to get out in the 2.17 patch.
If any of your creations still crash in a similar way please get in contact with us again.
Update 2.17 appears to have fixed whatever it was. What a relief!
My video link has disappeared from the thread. I suggest if you want to see the video you go to my YouTube channel and look for Bug Report: Asset crashes Dreams
If you check the comments on my video apparently this bug is affecting a lot of people with their own assets and other people's assets since the VR update. So this may be a more widespread issue than just my one asset.
So, it only crashes for me? That is super weird. I tried accessing it from indreams as well. Still the same result.Any attempt I make to access this file crashes Dreams (all methods). I do not have a local copy of this. It is on the server only.
I can't recreate this... I've tried opening it from "play now" on indreams, from the search, adding it to a collection and playing from there, using L1+X to launch it from the collection rather than going to the creation page, launching it from your "my creations" list.
One thing I thought of... is there a local copy of that creation that it could be opening? Perhaps that part is corrupted, but not the one on the server.
Maybe a video using your phone's camera would be helpful in Mm figuring out what is causing this for you.
