Coat Mode tools apply to hidden objects when using “hide everything else”
Create three cubes, and group two of them.
Scope into the group, and enable “hide everything else”
Enter Coat Mode and select the Hue tool.
Enable the volume brush by clicking the button or holding dpad up
Hold r2 while moving the brush around the place where the hidden cube would be.
Scope out, and observe that the hidden cube was accidentally hue-shifted.
This issue does not seem to occur when hiding objects with the Hide tool.
Thank you for the feedback, however we can confirm this is not an issue. The “Hide everything else” tool acts differently to the Hide tool itself. The Hide everything else is there to just help with focusing on that specific group while hiding the rest of the clutter on screen. While the Hide tool is designed to hide things in scenes.

I think the principle should be "if you can't see it, you can't affect it"--which holds for everything else or close to it, and seems to be the safest and most-expected situation.
I couldn’t get the video upload to work so here’s a YouTube link https://youtu.be/D0NIzBZp4rc
Oof! That's not good.
