Advanced mover and gravity
I'm trying to do a simple test of having a cube move up when hitting X and fall back down when letting go of X. I made the cube be movable and added gravity to it in the physics properties. The cube does fall down when running the scene. As soon as I add an advanced mover to it, it ignores gravity. What am I doing wrong?
The dampening properties are, by default, set to 100%. That will mean the only thing that can move your object is the mover. The set them to zero and what you have is a normal object which the mover applies forces to, which is what it sounds like you want.
Thanks for the reply JKLagania, I will look again in the properties. I did get around the problem by having the X output to the Advanced Mover's power input, so it turns it off completely. That did the trick. Kind of weird why the mover negates gravity though.
It's possible that the advanced mover is applying equal force up and down. Go in to the tweak settings with L1 and square to make sure. Also, it could be one of the ignore gravity tickers. Try that first and let us know!
