Puppet in default pose
I had used someone's puppet in a scene and posed it. (The scene is called "The Hatchling".) Now, without changing our updating the scene, the puppet is in default pose. Is there a way to restore the pose without recreating it manually?
Thanks a lot! Just watched the stream too, where this fix was demonstrated, and promptly used it in my scene. Everything looking good now.
Oooh, Thanks to you both! I skimmed over those topics before posting, but missed that one apparently. :D
Ok it appears we are dealing with this issue
The fix is to scope into the puppet and press triangle on each limb
this will put the limbs into joint edit mode and you should see the limbs return to the correct position
once all limbs are in joint edit and in the correct position press circle
double click the pelvis to select everything.
gently click with R2 to store this full body pose
I tried the same fix on the female and it does work but is slightly more involved.
It appears the lower leg also needs fix-up as well as the upper leg. other wise the legs will come out longer than before. see video
I believe this is caused by this issue.
The fix is to edit the level and scope into the puppet
Press triangle over the upper arms to put them to joint edit made.
You should see the arms jump to the correct size - although dislocate at the shoulder
This should exit joint edit mode. dislocation should stop but the correct scale should be stored
gently click R2 on each arm to store the positions/scales
Could it be related to this? https://docs.indreams.me/en/help/backwards-compatibility/broken-base-poses
Since the full release, some of my puppet's limbs have been resized bizarrely. If you open them up in edit mode, you'll see they look nothing like their cover photos.
I opened up quite a few puppets, but not all of them. Most seemed fine, thankfully.
Thanks for the report. Investigating.
