“Deluxe” puppet updates to “Basic” and looses running pose
I’ve seen this with some, but not all of my puppets from EA/Beta. Even though I’ve used the “Deluxe” puppet it show the “Basic” in genealogy and update mode. If I do update, the puppet no longer runs properly. I’ve found that after updating the “running pose” Keyframe is blank and no longer affects the puppet at all.

I think this is also affecting a few community creations, based on appearance of these puppets and contents of their chips I believe they were originally “Deluxe” puppets:
Another puppet of mine from beta that also has this update issue has an additional oddity, both “toes” Sculpts become rotated 90 degrees toward the puppet center. In this case I had used the stretch tool to make the feet very short.

And I think this community creation has the same issue with the toes: https://indreams.me/element/oRnXQXhFPdv
Not updating seems to work just fine, my only concern really is if another player remixes one of my puppets and does the update. For now I’ve placed a note of each of my affected puppets but a way to unlink or hide specific objects from Update mode would be useful :)
While we investigate its worth noting that you may not always want an update.
Don't panic if you perform the update with 'replace local changes' still on. You should be able to perform an undo on the update to revert the changes and then perform the update again with 'replace local changes' turned off. Another best practice is to always test your level after performing updates and before saving to be sure the update was successful/desired
In this case I think you probably do not want to take it. We need to improve the update tool to allow you to hide/archive updates you don't want to reduce noise within the tool.
Thank you for the report Pookachoo,
I will investigate now.
