So here’s my solution to this problem..

I’m no snitch or anything. I only snitch if the issue I see is illegal and it effects me directly. In this situation, they do. So imma snitch on people.

That was the prequel to say.. maybe Mm should ask the community to all become snitches and report copyright infringement. And add a feature to actually allow copyright material on Dreams (like YouTube does) with the permission of the owner.

I think the reporting tactic will work. Because you are taking away something from everything (a powerful tool) just to prevent a small population of users. I think this community cares enough about this game to report it when they see it. Because we know it is going to endanger Mm and we are all about creating original content. Anyone else’s thoughts on solely a reporting feature? And if there is availability in staff, then they can have someone moderate the content reported (like YouTube).

    @TAPGiles @CLOUD1985

    Thank you for your advice!

@TAPGiles , I tried, but not sure if I did it correctly. Basically, I put the starting position whip in the character's hand and added a keyframe to the scene. I started recording with the keyframe, simply clicked the whip to select it and pressed stop recording. This was my starting point keyframe. I then moved the first whip out of his hand and moved the second whip into his hand and repeated the process with the keyframes. I did it one more time with a third sculpt and then added all the keyframes in a timeline on the same line and when I ran them together, it didnt do anything. I tried different methods weith the keyframe and never got the result I wanted.

@CLOUD1985 Thanks for all the suggestions! Originally I wanted to use the animate gadget, but I realized I can't actually manipulate the whip itself. Once it's sculpted in the L1+Square edit mode during sculpting, I can't bend my curve shape anymore. During the animation, I can only rotate and move it about.

Also, I am not sure how to animate 3 whip positions on the same timeline. I imagine I would run into the same problem I had with the keyframes.

I have 3 different sculpts right now and tried to animate frame by frame with the keyframe but it wasn't working. Is there another way to do this?

Here is the optimal thing I thing. I'm wondering if I can somehow add physics to the rope part of the whip itself? Then I can create an attack animation by literally whipping the whip. And when it's not in use, it will look way more realistic because it's flailing about. I see people do this physics effect with hair and clothes, and even the little cone girl for the tutorials (her arms are manipulated by momentum and velocity.)

How would I make a sculpture piece (or painting) obey physics and movement?

I was actually shocked when I found out you can’t cuss. They boast that you can create anything you want. I wanted to make an intense mafia scene but the characters can’t cuss. Whether you think I can still portray what I need to or not without cussing, it’s my dream, isn’t it?

It’s a creative damper in my opinion and takes away from the freedom that is inherently in the blood of this game.

@TAPgiles. I suppose I could also use the gadget tweak “Is In VR?”on the hands as well, yes?

Then, I have the challenge of hiding the puppet I created for the non-VR player. When the VR player is playing, I don’t want them seeing a character model just standing there for my 3rd person players.

Thanks for the info on the tweak!

I agree. The amount of immersion would be so valuable. I am trying to make a VR character climb a ladder and it seems impossible without this feature.

I figured it out! Anyone who has a similar problem, check your versions. It’s kind of hidden. When you click on your game (before you play it) you can grasp and pull to the left and you will see comments and activity. Keep pulling and you will see other versions. I was playing an online version. My local version I saved was in that list. So I chose it and there was my stuff! Then I posted it online and it became to most recent version.

I’m not sure why the older version automatically went online. I presume it was because that was the moment that I saved the sculpture I wanted to uploaded as an object. Even though I didn’t upload it until later, I suppose it remembered that version and when it said “you must upload your world for this to be posted” I said yes and it posted the snapshot in time when I saved the sculpture. All of this is presumption.

I hope this helps anyone else. I’m so excited to continue to play.

I am not returning the game unless I get a definitive answer that it is a current bug they are working on. How do I check for versions? I don’t see a button that says versions. I only see an option in edit mode to save a version.
