On top of those, you can also move pre-existing notes in Freeform View around, even if they were made in the piano roll, and shift them into fields, but it's probably not the most efficient way.

It's on the video itself, it's like a right pointing arrow.

It's in the Dreams Workshop, within Browse and Create. Hope that helps.

There are multiple ways. You could put an effect field on a timeline, in which case it affects everything in its range. You could set Spice on any sliders you want in the tweak menus and then animate or plug wires into the Variation slider. You could have one large effect field in Freeform that spans the entire performance area (affecting everything) and plug wires into its power. Remember you can use keyframes and animations to animate anything at all including tweak sliders.

If you hide your dream it's effectively gone for everyone else, unless it was curated in a collection. You can do that from a Dream's settings.

You can plug a wire out of any sound's Envelope output on its last tweak page to output a (rough) signal. The speaker gadget also does it so you can pool together multiple sounds by sending them all to the same speaker. If you put a speaker in a timeline it will automatically do this routing.

You can also just tweak the sound and power it off from the power button at the bottom if you want to mute a particular/timeline/any gadget on a timeline.

When you publish a new version in the scene, you have an option in the lower left corner to record a new preview. Try that!

Try setting the color tint to maximum and horizon definition to 0.

Nesting clips that loop together in subtimelines is good practice as well as then you can just loop the whole timeline and save up on the thermometer for sound gadgets/music notes.

    1) You can do ritardando by just keyframing or wiring or animating the playback speed of clips.

    2) If you put multiple sounds in the same timeline, you can then use effect fields in that timeline to change any parameter you want. You can isolate the tracks you want in subtimelines that way.

    3) Not yet, but you can manually do it by cloning and trimming.

It generally means you don't have a mic set up correctly... we need to explain that a bit better. Check your audio input settings and check that the ring around your imp is squiggling as you record, if it's not it means your mic isn't setup.

This is disabled currently as there is no real way to "start fresh" for these elements without our upcoming importer. Thanks for the feedback!

Use a selector to power the songs/timelines you want, then just pick the state you want to be in with the inputs on the left.

Ah sorry, I didn't realise you're block was set to "not moveable". In that case, the NOT gate output should be wired into the Power ports of the mover gadgets.

    Mm dev - Bogdan/Yann commented  ·

    Something to try:
    - Add a movement sensor on the object
    - Wire the output to a timer so the timer starts when the object starts moving
    - Trigger the Timer Finished output to a NOT Gate
    - Wire the NOT gate output to the moveable button in the object's tweak menu

    Hope that helps

You can turn on X-ray in the show/hide menu to see the object and edit it. Or Press Triangle over the "object to Emit" button in the emitter tweak menu to break the link to the object.
Triangle can be used on most tweak settings to reset them to default :)

Hey! Don't plug into playback speed at all, it's not necessary. Just plug into the power - timelines will play while powered and remember where they were as long as they're set to sustain. Don't plug into the playback speed unless you're doing something special, because it might stretch sounds or keep them running needlessly while paused.

You could tweak the puppet settings to try to adjust them, but the best thing would probably be be to scale your environment to your character, as opposed to the other way around.
Save your city out as an element so you can manipulate it as one group and then bring it in to a new scene where you puppet is already present.

As a tip, it's always a good idea to have a reference puppet in the scene already when you make anything that will be playable. It helps keep things to scale and to have things like physics behave as you would expect :)

We don't have a tutorial in the Beta yet for using those tools, but it's coming! BTW in freeform view you can just hit record on the right side of the screen and perform, then edit the result in piano roll, as another way to quickly get some notes in.
