It's all about scale. The size of the default sphere shows an imperfect ball, as you can see join lines slightly off centre, and that's why it does not roll correctly. Make the scale bigger, so you can make the ball bigger, which removes the imperfections. Hope this helps.

You have to connect to X & Z oddly enough. See some of my posts with replies incl. from Mm. Hope this helps.

Thanks for your replies. I have the timer & a lost ball count in the game and that runs fine, it was to show this specific information on a scoreboard, but from reading more info I think the scoreboard is limited in that it will only show a score (obviously), but the time I keep seeing is actually the time the person played the game, and not a variable from the game?
I think your idea for using a chip etc to factor the game time multiplied by the lost ball count etc can give me what I want.
The logic for me in Dreams is a lot of trial and error but you can gain more information this way, well, that's my take on it.
(Oregano, FYI I do have a counter for the lost ball count)

    Cheers.

Can't answer about the strafing, but take a look here, the glossary is full of useful information and examples.

Just reiterating what the previous post stated, the tutorial on the last bridge you have to cross using the pink plank and adding two hinges, one either side will hopefully explain it.
From memory, when I did it my problem was I think it refers to a blue connection but mine was embedded in the blank so it was unclear to start with, but in the end sorted it. Hope this helps.

It's sorted now in this thread: https://feedback.indreams.me/forums/917434-dreams-how-do-i/suggestions/36349435-advanced-rotator-can-t-get-the-ball-to-roll

A couple of tweaks to other settings was required.

    Hope this helps someone else.

OK, so I'm still stuck on this. I'll start from scratch again but I don't know quite what I am doing wrong. Thanks for all the advice though.
One thing to clarify, does the X go to the X and the Y goes to the Z, or do both X & Y go to X, and both of them again go to Z? (The wording maybe misleading me) I have tried all methods, but can you explain why the Z is involved because surely that is a vertical axis, i.e. up & down), I just want to control the ball in the X & Y axis.

    Luci,

I have tried for the past two hours to try and get the ball rolling and it's not budging :o)
Is it correct that I should connect the X and Y outputs of the splitter to the X axis speed and Z axis speed inputs of the advanced rotator?

If any other user reads this can they try, create a dream and publish it so I can see what I am doing wrong.

    TIA

OK, figured gravity out, but I was sure I had set the options, although it is very hard to see sometimes the difference from on & off of certain settings in an object.

I was about to post a question on gravity when a search found this. I had the same idea for a ball game, but I'm still going to do it.
Mine was more about gravity controlling the ball, with the LS tilting the table, but I can't even get a ball in mid-air to drop on to the surface using gravity.

    Thanks for the tips Peter.

I agree, I work with grids and I always have them at top surface of an object. I soon realised that Dreams centres objects, so to get them level they have to be the same thickness, or align by eye but it's not perfect.

Could you model the object in the puppets hand, make it invisible at the start, then when you pick it up from the floor, make the floor one invisible, and the one in the puppet creation visible?
