But once I modify the sculpt in the level, there is no way to propogate those changes to other copies of that separate creation. It only works if I sculpt by editing the creation outside my level then update.

Critically, that means almost never sculpting inside the level, making it almost impossible to keep a consistent visual style and make things line up nicely.

There are a lot of problems with that workflow though. It doesn't do anything for sculpts that have already been placed, and it doesn't allow for edits to be made in context of the level, and it is a very slow process in general, resetting all my guides and other settings. Having to plan out a full asset hierarchy from the very beginning seems very un-Dreams-like.

One thing you can do is disable the power for components that are not needed at any given moment. Like instead of doing a bunch of complex logic and then multiplying the result by 0 at the end when you want to turn it off, maybe put that whole section in its own microchip, and then power the whole thing off.

Think about the longest chain of logic your vehicle might have to evaluate. If you have an output to say a mover, every frame it is going to need to figure out the signal value for that output wire. To do that, is has to figure out everything that is connected to that wire, for as many connections as you have, which then have to be evaluated in sequence. It is likely that disconnected sections of logic can be run in parallel on the CPU, but connected chains couldn't unless they branch off from each other and stay separate. So the length of the longest possible "path" through your logic wires is probably a good indicator of overall cost.

And obviously not all component is equal in cost. A laser sensor is probably thousands of time more expensive than using an add calculator.

You would probably have an easier time if you simply hide the body parts you don't want and disable their collision. Then you can turn off the preview hidden toggle in the show menu to manipulate them.

The Calculator lets you do whatever arithmetic you want, you can assign the result to a Variable, and the Number Display can show it on screen.

Releases are permanent from what they have said, but you can make your own remix that is only playable, so that future versions are not remixable. You can also hide the remixable version in the content settings and rename it, but you can't prevent people from using it if they have found it already.

With the move controller you don't need a separate rotate button, because it is a full 6 dof controller you both move and rotate with the trigger.

It would be really great if live clone were a global toggle, like the guides, so we could use it with the move tool shortcut. Then we would be less likely to find ourselves in a situation where changing a sculpture creates a ton of extra work replacing objects. And it would be really nice if changing any of the live clones applied to all of them as an option, not only changes to the original. Then it would be easier to edit things in-place.

It is really frustrating when you realize that all those wall sections you carefully laid out need to be deleted and placed again.
