The new "reel" controls in VR cover this, if I understand the post correctly. They are indeed really useful! However I think they are not available outside of VR, maybe because it would be hard to tell the difference between *scaling* the item down, and moving it further away, without depth perception, and the ability to direct the imp's "grab beam".

That is a useful work-around for the cases where it's really tricky to put it back where it was! Still, resizing shapes out of place means you can't see the result immediately.

Filtering on the "following" feed would also be really useful. For example now, right after the release, it's always filled by the new imp quests and similar stuff of the people I'm following. And I'm not even following that many people. Mainly I'd like to be able to limit it to just showing new creations they publish. And sometimes a single person will publish a bunch of things at the same time, it would be great if that was somehow handled so that it would not eat up the entire feed.

A way to soften corners which is sometimes useful: take a sphere shape, tweak it (L1+square) and then use the rightmost buttons to sub-divide it as far as you can and also make it hollow. Now you have a piece that should cut a nice round shape e.g. for rounding one corner of a cube like a die. Adding some soft blend might also help.

The same idea could be applied with a cylinder, to round an edge.

If you don't want to work the math out yourself using calculator gadgets, there's probably someone in the dreamiverse who has already done it! E.g. users "phort" and "MrOobleck" have published lots of ready made math tools.

Using keyframes is probably easiest, but if you want something that looks more like actual smoke, that kind of "billows" upwards or something, you can achieve a lot with just the painting tweak settings. It sort of requires that you paint in the right direction, and it can take a lot of trial and error to figure out what each setting does. There are lots of possibilities though (not just for smoke!), and it might be cheaper as there's no logic involved.
