Thank for the answer both. TAPgiles: I got it to work with keyframes. I have a kind of frame which I group together with the ship. On this frame, I attach the camera and a mover, so I move the whole frame with the ship inside. I use one keyframe for left and right and one for up and down. And two value sliders which I wire into the Keyframes. And I had to use variables which controls the speed. I tried with a mover, but it didn't work.

I think this is so far the best way to do it. Very strange way to do it., but as long as it works. 😊

TAPgiles: I tried to put the timeline on the whole group and then I scoped in and placed a rotator on the object inside the group as you explained, but it didn't work with a rotator. The object with the rotator did rotate, but the whole group didn't move at all. But it worked with a keyframe, but I can't use keyframe to rotate.

Thank you both for the answers! LadyLex: It works using a Mover in a timeline, but I wish it could work with keyframes, because it's faster to make the movement as I want. It should be possible to only record the position of an object.

Cloud1985: If I did it correct, it didn't work. Maybe you can try it by yourself, and tell me you if you get it to work?

Maybe I just need to use a mover. 😊

Maya or Blender is not a drawing program either, but I'm sure you can do that in these programs. All kind of art programs where you can add color to whatever you make have that. I just want to have the same color of an image I have on the computer. It will be so much easier to just write the color code right into Dreams. Well, thanks anyway! 😊

    Rabagast commented  ·

But if I want the same color as something from for example photo shop, affinity, etc. then it's no way to do that? I know I can use color picker in Dreams. I hope they can add this later. You don't see any drawing programs which doesn't have that. 😊

    Hi!

Yes, but I got it finally to work. I have a wall to explode with dynamite. And this wall is grouped. The wall is labeled Object. And this label had to be set on the group.

I still don't understand how this works. When I group objects. Do I need to set the label and collision labels on the group itself or do I need to scope in and set them on each object inside the group?

Actually I don't have physics on. Use custom gravity (Mover) and Raycast to detect collision. And it's pixel art.

I just got some issues with the falling logic. I turn it off when the player is climbing. I will experiment a bit more. I will post any issues here. Or if I get this to work.

I don't see that many games out there using 2D pixel art with ladder climbing, so this may be useful for other people.

I got it to work. I wired Right button into x input of a combiner and Left button into operand 1 of a calculator and divide it with minus 1, to get a negative value, since left is negative and right is positive.
Then I wire the calculator into another combiner. 😊

There is another thing I can't solve. I try to controll the character with the D-pad buttons left and right as an alternative controller. I wire D-pad "Right" into a splitter and from plus output into the x input of a combiner, then into Puppet Interface. It works to the right, but I can't make it to walk left. How can I do that?

Thank you so much! It works.
I knew there was something with Splitter, but I couldn't figure it out. 😊

I did all this, but the last thing you mentioned can be the problem. The Dream is public, but I will just try it first, so I uploaded a private version which already was public.

But I have to delete the scoreboard anyway, because I had to change the name of the scoreboards and as I know, there is no way to rename a scoreboard without deleting it.

Thank you both for answering me. 😊

BTW. It didn't work to make the changes of the character on level 1. It had to be the source file, if I want to make the changes in all the levels.

    TAPgiles:

It says: "This object cannot be edited as you are not the author or collaborator."

I don't know if this is the button you mean.

cgCody: Since the character will be the same on all the levels, the "Replace local changes" should just be checked? Not uncheck the box if I don't want to make local changes?

If I edit some logic on the character on level 1, will the character be updated in all levels? I don't need to go to each object to make logic changes?

Thank you! But if you make the changes to the character on the first scene {level 1}, can you update the character from there? Or do you need to open the character asset?

I found a solution. I just add a score variable modifier on the first level and set it to 0.

This is a very old post, but I had the same question. I did what Pablo mentioned, but it doesn't reset the score. I have Persist in Dream enabled for the score, but also for the lives, and the lives does reset. It has to be a solution for this.

    Hi!

I have watch this video. Was very helpful.

I took a screenshot, so hopefully anyone can explain me what this does mean? All the scoreboards I have in the game appears here, so you can assign which scoreboard will appear for this scene. I have only two so far.

I got it to work. I changed the name of the variable, so probably there is another variable with same name which cause the problem. I just need to find it. 😊

I have the same problem. It worked, but then I added another scene, then it didn't work anymore.

I use a variable to check if it's 1 or 2 player game. When I click on 2 player, and start the scene, it starts 1 player. Does the variable needs to have an initial value of zero?

I just wire a trigger to the teleporter, so the teleporter just turns on and off. Maybe the teleporter works like that. It just stop the movement of the object.

I just wish Mm could add a "Set Position" gadget to Dreams. Like in Unity. I just can't make the game like I want, because of this limit.

Thanks for the answer. I got it to work but the score increase
Too slow in this way. I want the score increase in my example to 250 in 1 sec. I got it also to work with the Signal Generator. I just increased the Pause Time Range, and power off the Signal Generator and the Score Modifier when it reach 250.

But another problem I got now, is: The score it will increase from will change during the game, so I need to get the current score and wire it into the Min Value Range of the Signal Generator, but I can't do that because it's only one input for both Max and Min. I tried to use a splitter, but when I use a Value Slider, it change both Max and Min.

Is there a way to change Max Value Range and Min Value Range separately?

    LadyLexUK:

You are right that it's not online multiplayer at the moment, but I'm talking about offline multiplayer on the same PS4, same TV, same sofa. 😊

My issue was, how can I add the two offline players score to the same scoreboard.

The good new is that I got it to work, thanks to JimmyJules153

In my test scene, I have two characters, player 1 and player 2. I connected another PS4 controller to use with the player 2 character. I walk around and pick up some coins. When either player 1 or player 2 enter the exit portal, then the score will be posted.

I checked the scoreboard, and both player 1 and player 2 were posted. 😊
